Location
We are based in Yopal, capital city of the Eastern Colombian department of Casanare and one of the gateways to the Llanos prairies. With a population of around 160,000, Yopal is Casanare's biggest city and has an airport, various shopping centers, hospitals, parks, universities, and other amenities.

from Bogota Avianca, LatAm and ClicAir fly direct from Bogotá to Yopal Aeropuerto El Alcaravan (EYP) - duration max. 1 hr. from Bucaramanga ClicAir operates some direct flights between Yopal and Bucaramanga. |
By road / bus
Shortest route from Bogota: via El Sisga, Guateque, Embalse de Chivor - beautiful drive! via Sogamoso / Tunja Through the Andean highlands via Sogamoso, one may arrive from Bogota heading north to Tunja / Sogamoso or from Bucaramanga and San Gil heading south towards Duitama / Sogamoso. From Sogamoso take the "ruta al llano", main route to Aguazul / Yopal (approx. 4 hours). You will travel through various sceneries and climate zones and pass beautiful towns and sights like Colombia's largest natural lake, Laguna de Tota. If you aren't pressed for time also check out the colonial town of Monguí and its Páramo de Oceta - or connect the journey with enchanting Villa de Leyva. |
